Roberto Vannacci , MEP, former high-ranking army soldier and current president of Futuro Nazionale, has sent a formal warning signed by the Guffetti-Casadei law firm and the Talento Company against a 47-year-old from Sorso, a hairdresser by profession .

The casus belli is the phrase the latter wrote on social media addressed to the politician: "Retire, buffoon, not a general." This comment, deemed damaging to Vannacci's reputation, has been urged by the MEP's lawyers and "Talento," which "handles image rights," to remove it. Not only that, they have also asked the hairdresser to write a letter of apology and contact the general's two representatives "in order to jointly explore a possible out-of-court solution."

"I sent the letter," states the accused man, assisted by his lawyer Giacomo Baralla, "but he can't suppress dissent." The 47-year-old recently received a notice from the police headquarters, which indicates he is under investigation for aggravated defamation: "We're not in custody," he comments. The document from Vannacci's lawyers also states that disclosure of the letter's contents will lead to a further claim for damages. "This confidentiality clause is unreasonable," states Baralla.
