Vandals at Is Corrias, car windows smashed: "Yet another incident, no one does anything."

The car windows were shattered, probably while searching for some spare change or for some other reason.   A resident of the Is Corrias area, between Cagliari and Selargius, was met with an unpleasant surprise this morning.

"Aside from this one-off incident, the problem has been going on for months," explains the resident, who prefers to remain anonymous. " The parking lot on Via Federico Fellini has now become an open-air crime zone, and despite several reports, no one does anything. Young people now gather there to take drugs, deal drugs, and leave all sorts of waste behind every morning, and now there's even damage to the area."

"This morning," he reports, " I found the windows of my car broken . Luckily, I didn't have any valuables, but it's yet another incident that's happened in this parking lot . I called the police, but they simply told me to report the incident to the station."

In the past, he explains, "a petition had been collected to install cameras, but it fell by the wayside. We asked for nighttime patrols by the police, but no one ever showed up."
