Fear erupted overnight in Uta, where a bar was targeted by unknown assailants who set fire to the premises' outdoor furniture.

The fire, which broke out when the shop was already closed, was put out in time by the owner, a 64-year-old shopkeeper living in the village, before it could spread inside.

The alarm was raised shortly after midnight. Carabinieri from the Iglesias Company's Mobile Radio Unit and firefighters responded to the scene, completing the extinguishing operations and securing the area.

According to initial findings, the fire was started deliberately . However, the motives for the attack and the identity of the perpetrators remain unclear. The military has launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators, analyzing the incident and gathering any evidence that may be useful to the investigation.
