A van carrying fireworks for the patron saint's day caught fire last night in Uta. The vehicle was parked near the square in front of the church of Santa Giusta.

Luckily, the fire broke out after the fireworks display, so the vehicle was carrying a very small quantity of products.

Firefighters responded immediately, one from the Cagliari command center and the other from the Iglesias detachment. The flames had engulfed the entire vehicle, and firefighters were able to extinguish them by the time they reached the entrance of a nearby home.

This was a crucial intervention, also to safeguard the safety of the many people present. Once the area was secured, investigations began to determine the cause of the fire.
