A policeman kicked in Uta prison by an inmate and sent to hospital.
Yet another attack occurred yesterday morning around 9.15 am: a prisoner forced the gate of the section and stopped near the roundabout. When the officer told him to return to the section he was the victim of a brutal attack. Pushed, yanked and kicked several times, only with the intervention of a colleague was the inmate blocked and taken back to his cell.
The policeman, taken to the emergency room, was found to have several injuries, giving him a 7-day prognosis.
«It's not the first time – explains the National Secretary Con.Si.Pe. Roberto Melis - that this prisoner becomes the protagonist of such behaviour, perhaps it would be appropriate for the prison administration to intervene and arrange for his removal, as provided for in the departmental circulars".
