"Sardinia is a great region, and I'll be back soon." Tilman Joseph Fertitta , the American ambassador to Italy, is thrilled with these days spent exploring the island during a stop on his weeks-long tour of the Italian coast. " The relationship between Italy and America is great, and we work closely together ," he said today in Porto Cervo.
Fertitta's visit is part of the "Freedom 250 Coastal Diplomacy Italy tour" that saw him busy all summer along the coasts of the Peninsula.
Aboard his yacht Boardwalk, the diplomat hosted 250th anniversary celebrations from Naples to Bari, Genoa to Palermo, and Sardinia, port after port, aiming to highlight the partnership between the United States and Italy, historic allies, economic partners, and close friends.
