Work has begun on the restoration and redevelopment of the Santa Cadrina archaeological site in the municipality of Uri. Workers and archaeologists are busy enhancing the site, one of the town's most valuable sites. This project dates back to October 2016, when the current mayor, Emanuele Dettori, then Councilor for Culture, proposed allocating regional resources to the redevelopment of this extraordinary heritage. This idea immediately received unanimous support from the "Uri Prima di Tutto" group, which, in April 2018, resulted in the "Anglona-Coros, Terre di Tradizione" Pact, through which €392,000 was allocated for the project.

From that moment, a long and complex journey began, starting with the planning stage, the pandemic, rising energy costs, the changes necessitated by updated price lists, the request for an additional document to the Territorial Planning Act, the tender process, and, finally, the completion of the works last Monday. This October, the project will celebrate its tenth anniversary. Eight years have passed since funding was secured, and only on July 13th did work finally begin. It involves enhancing a site accessible to all with walkways, signage, and lighting appropriate to the context, in preparation for the second phase, which will make the downstream property and the adjoining garden accessible.
