First alert of the season due to the heat and in the Oristano area there is an immediate fire emergency. In the early afternoon a vast fire developed in the Uras area, the flames licked the Statale 131 and sent over five hectares of land up in smoke.
The alarm went off around 3 pm, immediately the teams of the firefighters of Oristano and the detachment of Ales but also the men of the forestry corps of the Marrubiu station intervened. The fire from the countryside spread towards the coplanar roads and then towards the state road and, fueled by the strong wind, was becoming increasingly threatening, so much so that the intervention of a helicopter was also requested, which took off from the Fenosu base.
The extinguishing operations went on throughout the afternoon, there was no shortage of inconvenience to traffic, especially due to smoke. Once the flames were tamed, clean-up operations began immediately and traffic returned to normal.
