From €1,000 to €1,800 per month in compensation for pediatricians working in the most disadvantaged areas of Sardinia. This is provided for in the supplementary agreement for private pediatrics, definitively approved today by the Regional Council, completing the process initiated by the Fimp and Sispe unions on November 18th.
"We are thus translating that agreement into concrete measures," explains Health Councilor Armando Bartolazzi, "strengthened prevention, early diagnosis, innovative digital tools, and special attention to inland areas and the most vulnerable families. This agreement is more than just a contractual update: it is an investment in our children's future and in the quality of the regional healthcare system."
The financial statement attached to the resolution quantifies the supplementary fund at €6 million, covering: prevention and clinical governance activities; home and outpatient care for children with chronic conditions; PIP diagnostic services (in-office performance of targeted diagnostic tests, from vision screenings to spirometry, from prick tests to rapid infectious disease tests, contributing to the reduction of inappropriate emergency room visits); association activities, practice collaborators, and digitalization of practices; incentives for disadvantaged areas; specific projects such as Child Health and the compilation of pediatric health records, territorial networks, and continuity of care. The agreement also provides for the construction of a shared IT platform within the pediatric health centers, which will allow pediatricians—in compliance with privacy regulations—to access the clinical information of patients within the same network. This tool promotes integrated care, continuity of care, and coordination between professionals.
