At the sixth Poetto stop, things have returned to normal. This morning, around 9:30 a.m., the two presumed unexploded ordnances on the seabed off the Prefecture beach were removed by Navy specialists. The affected area is now accessible to swimmers again.

The alarm was raised yesterday after a lifeguard spotted two metal objects on the seabed. The Coast Guard responded immediately and issued an order prohibiting swimming in the area.

Once the cleanup operations were completed, the area – now safe – was reopened to swimmers.
