Trucks and bulldozers have been stopped since yesterday morning, blocked by the provision of the Municipality of Selargius which, after a series of serious road damages and several requests for maintenance - without results - has suspended the authorization to pass along the backbone of the countryside.

A heavy act addressed to Terna that for months has been working to build the two disputed electrical stations as the final landing of the Tyrrhenian link, the double cable that will connect Sardinia with the rest of the Peninsula. "We demand respect for our territory", says the mayor Gigi Concu, who warns Terna: "The Selargius-Ussana must be fixed immediately, until then the transit of trucks will be prohibited".

The provision is signed by the commander of the local police Marco Cantori, preceded by an inspection by the police with a report drawn up a few days ago: the document speaks of "significant damage to the road, with depressions, cracks and unevenness that are highly dangerous for the normal transit of vehicles and motorcycles not involved in the work".

The reference is to the country road that connects Selargius with Ussana, used every day by those who live and work in the countryside, but also by those who come from Parteolla. And for months it has been used by Terna's heavy vehicles, trucks and bulldozers grappling with the first excavations in the expropriated agricultural lands for an energy transition that many have long contested.
