Two young men, aged 21 and 18, were arrested by Carabinieri officers from the Bitti Company and the Orune station in execution of a detention order issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Nuoro.
The two, Andrea Pio Degogliu and Simone Deiana, residents of Orune, were convicted in the first instance for aggravated robbery in a tobacconist's in the town center last October 4th.
On that occasion, the two criminals, operating with masks on and at gunpoint, stole approximately €2,500 and immediately fled. The immediate and thorough investigation conducted by the Carabinieri quickly identified the alleged perpetrators and gathered evidence that led to their arrest during the pre-trial phase. Following the conclusion of the trial, the two young men were sentenced to three years and four months in prison. The two arrested were transferred to the Badu 'e Carros prison.
