They had lost their way on the road to Cala Mariolu and couldn't find their way back. Two hikers were rescued yesterday by firefighters in Golgo , in the Baunei area.
The alarm was raised when the two young men, disoriented during the trek, reported being unable to return to their starting point. Team 11A of the Tortolì fire department responded to the scene, with the support of the Alghero Fire Department .
The two hikers were spotted from above by the Drago 143 helicopter and rescued by winch. Once hoisted aboard the aircraft, they were transported to a landing pad and then taken back to the hike's starting point. The rescue operation was successful, with no injuries to the two young men.
