A two-day-old newborn baby in imminent danger of life was taken from Sassari to the Gaslini hospital in Genoa .

An emergency medical transport carried out with a Gulfstream G650 aircraft of the 31st Wing of the Italian Air Force .

The little girl was hospitalized at the AOU of Sassari, but to treat her case it was necessary to transfer her immediately to the Gaslini Hospital.

The emergency flight was activated, at the request of the Prefecture of Sassari, by the Situation Room of the Air Squadron Command - the operations room of the Italian Air Force - which immediately involved the 31st Wing.

The plane took off from Ciampino Airport bound for Alghero, where the newborn was boarded and transported in a thermal bassinet, constantly monitored by a specialized medical team. It then flew to Genoa Airport, from where the little girl was transferred by ambulance to the Gaslini Hospital.
