Three missing boys in the Villacidro mountains were rescued by helicopter.

They got lost during a hike and after several unsuccessful attempts to find the path back to base they raised the alarm, requesting help.

The intervention of the Drago 143 firefighters' helicopter, which took off from Alghero this afternoon, was necessary to recover two young people who were missing on Mount Margiani, in the Linas mountain range, in the Villacidro area.

The aircraft supported the work of the ground teams of the Alpine Fluvial Speleological Unit, who were sent to the site to manage the search.

When the boys were found they were dehydrated and scared but in good health: they were nevertheless entrusted to the care of a 118 crew.
