Carabinieri officers intervened twice in Monastir yesterday evening . Officers from Dolianova reported two young men of Algerian origin, both residents of the town's first reception center, at large.
The first incident occurred in a downtown store. The store manager noticed a man stealing food from the shelves and immediately filed a complaint . Thanks to immediate investigations and checks, the Carabinieri tracked down the culprit: a 33-year-old.
Shortly thereafter, again in Monastir, the military had to intervene again. A citizen raised the alarm after catching a young man rummaging through his van . The Carabinieri, arriving on the scene, took charge of the young man and identified him as a 22-year-old North African.
