Activity suspended and fines imposed, in addition to the seizure of the product for an ethnic restaurant in the centre of Cagliari .

The inspection was carried out as part of the Cagliari Coast Guard's inspections of the supply of fish products, specifically by members of the Coast Guard's Fisheries Control Center, along with local police and health inspectors from the Local Health Authority (ASL).

The fish, frozen and ready for consumption, was found to lack the documentation certifying its traceability . The entire batch was immediately seized, along with a €1,500 fine to the business. Subsequent investigations by local health authority inspectors also revealed that the product was inedible, so it was immediately destroyed . The same health authority imposed three additional fines and issued a suspension of the business.
