Twelve fires in Sardinia, emergencies in Elmas and Ula Tirso

There are 12 fires registered in Sardinia today and for 2 of these the Forestry Corps has used not only ground teams but also aerial vehicles.

The emergencies were triggered in Elmas, in the "Case Asquer" locality, where the extinguishing of the flames was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of Uta, Cagliari and Gauf Cagliari, together with the staff on board the helicopter from the CFVA base of Villasalto. A team of volunteers from "Soccorso Assemini" was also on site. The fire covered an area of about one hectare of uncultivated land.

Another fire in the "Pranu" locality of Ula Tirso . The shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Neoneli Forestry Station, assisted by the staff on board the helicopter from the CFVA base in Fenosu. Two teams from the Forestas Agency from the Abbasanta and Paulilatino shipyards, a team from the Ghilarza barrier company and a team from the Abbasanta fire brigade attended. The fire engulfed approximately one hectare of bare pasture.
