Triei, fatal illness on bicycle: 77-year-old man dies

Fatal illness for a 77-year-old cyclist.

This is what happened late this morning at the entrance to Triei, just ahead of the sports field. The cyclist, originally from Bolzano but transplanted to Marina di Sarrala, in Tertenia, suddenly felt ill while he was pedaling.

Some motorists attempted to revive him while waiting for the arrival of the ambulance of the Croce Bianca di Baunei but there was nothing that could be done for the cyclist.

The 118 doctor, who arrived on board another ambulance, had no choice but to confirm the death. The carabinieri of the Baunei station also intervened on the scene.
