Two new hearings - today and tomorrow - at the Tempio Pausania court for the closed-door trial involving Ciro Grillo , Francesco Corsiglia, Vincenzo Lauria and Eodoardo Capitta , the four Genoese friends accused of an alleged gang rape of an Italian-Norwegian student , which occurred during the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 in a villa in Porto Cervo.

The last defense consultants paraded before the court: psychologist Lucia Tattoli, psychiatrist Enrico Zanalda, computer scientist Mattia Epifani and medical examiner Marco Salvi.

In her report – based on the statements made by the alleged victim – Tattoli highlighted possible “interferences” on the young woman’s “memory mechanism”, which could have created “reliability problems” in her story. Among these interferences, the psychologist cited the fact that – after that night – the girl immediately began a “post-traumatic treatment”, which could have influenced her in some way.

Tattoli also hypothesized that the young woman had thus "scotomized" (i.e. "removed") all the elements and details that were not consistent with her version.
