Trains, track work underway in Cagliari: replacement buses to Decimomannu

Due to extraordinary maintenance work on the tracks at Cagliari station, train traffic will be affected on Sundays, April 26th and May 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Some trains on the Cagliari - Cagliari Elmas - Decimomannu, Cagliari - San Gavino - Oristano and Olbia Terranova - San Gavino - Decimomannu - Cagliari Elmas - Cagliari lines will be cancelled and rescheduled.
Bus service is planned between Cagliari and Decimomannu. "The work can only be carried out when certain temperatures are reached. For this reason, if weather conditions are not optimal, it may be necessary to reschedule the work," RFI reports.
The work, which began last Sunday in April, is estimated to cost approximately €100,000 and will involve approximately 24 workers and technicians from RFI and the contractors.
