Tragedy in the US: 61-year-old man from Thiesi struck and killed while riding his bicycle

Salvatore Salvador Cocco, a 61-year-old originally from Thiesi but a longtime resident of Florida, USA, was struck by a car while riding his bicycle.
The accident occurred last Sunday in Fort Myers , at the intersection of Plantation Gardens Drive and Commerce Lakes Drive, during a routine bike ride, which unfortunately ended in tragedy. The impact was violent; an Audi struck him, throwing him onto the asphalt, for reasons yet to be determined . The driver was traveling at high speed. Emergency services arrived on the scene, but there was nothing more they could do; his heart had already stopped.
Salvatore Cocco, a graduate of Bocconi University in Milan and an entrepreneur, had moved to Florida for work , where a few months ago he had exported his business with an international dairy group, with roots in Sardinia.
The Thiesi community, upon receiving the news, expressed its condolences to the family.
