He collapsed to the ground after feeling ill during a hunting trip. Cardiac arrest is probably behind the death of a 70-year-old hunter from Sassari who died in the countryside of Osilo. The tragedy occurred around 10:30, while the man was busy with some colleagues in hunting.

The pensioner felt suddenly ill and fell to the ground unconscious . The alarm was raised immediately, but the health workers who arrived on the scene with the emergency helicopter could only declare him dead. Attempts to revive him were in vain.

From an initial examination, the hunter would have been struck by a heart attack.
