Tragedy in Orani: Man crashes motorcycle and finds dead in ravine

His travel companions found him, lifeless, at the bottom of a ravine on provincial road 39 , in the stretch that leads from Orani to the 131 DCN.
A German tourist died today after he went off the road while riding his motorcycle along a main road in Sardinia with friends he was vacationing with. The accident reportedly occurred in the early afternoon .
According to initial reconstructions, the motorcyclist was traveling with a group of fellow Italians on a tour of Sardinia on their motorcycles. At a certain point, one of the companions, who was riding ahead of the victim, began to worry when he no longer saw him approaching and went back down the provincial road to look for him . After a few minutes, the search was launched and emergency services were alerted.
The motorcyclist's body was found across the road, half-hidden by vegetation at the bottom of a ravine . The motorcycle apparently ended up off the road for reasons still under investigation.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene, but there was nothing more they could do for the tourist . The paramedics were only able to confirm his death.
The investigations were carried out by the Carabinieri, who are working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident and clarify what caused the loss of control of the motorcycle.
The news quickly reached the other fellow travellers, who were shocked by what had happened during what was supposed to be a day of relaxation on the island's roads.
