A three-month-old baby girl , resident in Ollolai , died last night in the hospital in Nuoro after being struck by a sudden illness during a confirmation party .
According to initial reports, the little girl had become ill while with her family. Her mother immediately raised the alarm, and emergency services arrived on the scene with an ambulance and air ambulance.
The newborn was rushed to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro , but died shortly after arriving at the emergency room .
The Local Health Authority (ASL) has activated a psychological support service for the family and others involved in the tragedy. Meanwhile, by order of the judicial authorities, the child's body has been transferred to Cagliari , where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death .
