An appeal to the institutions and one to the youth. Words that go straight to the heart those pronounced today by Antonella Soddu, sister of 22-year-old Michele, one of the four boys who died last October 30 in a tragic accident on provincial road 69, in Fonni .

The woman posted a video on social media with the Nuoro association #AdessoBasta , which has been promoting road safety for years in the name of the brothers Matteo and Francesco Pintor, victims of an accident on State Road 129 in 2017.

"I'm making this video because I need it - Antonella's appeal begins - I think we all need it here, after what happened and continues to happen before our eyes, now with a fixed cadence".

Then he focuses on the road where the tragedy occurred, the provincial road 69, which has no safety barriers or signs: « I can't find peace because I returned to the site of the accident and seeing that road in disastrous conditions I can't help but think about that piece of guardrail that's missing ».

And he wonders: «Maybe, with that protection, things wouldn't have gone differently. And what if a barrier had been enough to change the fate of Michele and the other boys? ». Because «accidents can happen, but the ways in which they happen give me no peace. The data gives me the shivers».

From the road to conduct to driving, with an appeal aimed especially at young people: "I want to shake the consciences especially of young people in the countries who are constantly driving because of commuting. I would like them to become aware of the fact that the roads we travel every day can be as dangerous and fatal as our conduct. I understand that you quickly forget that you get into a car and believe that everything depends on you. But life is a moment and in a moment it can go away".

Antonella Soddu underlines the «extreme necessity to talk about this topic, to educate, prevent, avoid putting ourselves in danger and above all others» .

And he closes with a touching dedication to his brother Michele and to the other three victims of the Fonni tragedy: Lorenzo Figus, Marco Innocenti and Michele Coinu .
