A prank that could have caused a tragedy along the State Road 125, Orientale Sarda, in the Gallura region .
Six minors were caught in the middle of the night while uprooting roadside markers and placing large stones on the road.
Alerted by a driver's report to 112, the Carabinieri of the Loiri Porto San Paolo station intervened on the scene, together with their colleagues from the Radiomobile.
The officers caught the young men red-handed: they were tearing up the roadside markers, which serve to indicate the direction of the road and its limits (especially crucial at night or in conditions of poor visibility), and placing boulders on the road. Without the driver's prompt notification and the intervention of the Carabinieri, they would have created a situation seriously dangerous for traffic .
The minors were arrested and reported at liberty, the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Sassari entrusted them to their parents .
