Around 8am there were queues for miles, particularly near the traffic lights in Monserrato and Selargius.
The patience of motorists who travel the 554 to work every day, and of local mayors awaiting answers after a year-old meeting with representatives of the Sardinia Region and the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, is at an all-time high. This is also because the traffic problem isn't just about travel times, but also safety, with road accidents, like endless queues, becoming a daily occurrence in these parts.
