A tragedy was narrowly avoided on Viale Arbatax in Tortolì. A tree fell on a passing car, destroying its front end. Two people sustained minor injuries and were extricated from the vehicle by firefighters.

Traffic is paralyzed on the main road connecting the town and the seaside village. Traffic has been diverted to alternative routes. Strong gusts of sirocco wind continue to blow across the area.
