He fled the scene by speeding in a stolen car. Thus a 22 year old boy from Tortolì was arrested for resisting a public official and receiving stolen goods.
Last night, during a territorial control service, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Aliquota of Lanusei caught him driving a Nissan Qashqai stolen on March 5th.
The young man tried to escape along state road 125 and through the streets of the town of Tortolì, ending his run in via Scorcu. A full-throttle chase in which he also caused damage to a parked car; once blocked, he attempted to escape on foot.
Subjected to a search he was found in possession of a switchblade and 8 grams of marijuana. Not only that: in the end it was also discovered that he did not have a driving license, which he never obtained. He is now under house arrest awaiting the validation hearing.
