Since last night the gate that prevented swimmers from reaching Torre Salinas beach through the hotel of the same name has been opened.

The tug of war between the Municipality of Muravera and Turieco srl, the company that manages the tourist facility, therefore seems to have ended.

In recent days the Municipality had issued an order ordering the company to remove the gates that prevent pedestrians from accessing the sea within two days.
«The closure of the pedestrian access - we read in the ordinance - in addition to configuring the conditions for the contestation of a building crime, constitutes an impediment to free public access to the stretch of beach which has always been peacefully used by visitors to the stretch of coast in the locality Torre Salinas".
The 2014 building permit expressly provided for the guarantee of access to the sea. The ordinance highlighted the need to "intervene to protect a general public interest", requesting immediate action to restore the free transit of people and emergency, fire-fighting and civil protection vehicles to the beach. Now the reopening.
