Alessandra Todde's sentence remains unchanged: only the €40,000 fine has been confirmed.

This is what the Court of Appeal of Cagliari has decided, regarding the case of irregularities in the expense reports for the regional election campaign for which the Regional Electoral Guarantee Board had requested the forfeiture.

Instead, the Court stated:

1. "the invalidity of the appearance in court" of the Regional Electoral Guarantee Board and, consequently, declares the inadmissibility of the conditional incidental appeal proposed by the lawyer Riccardo Fercia."
2. "the inadmissibility of the appeals filed by Valter Piscedda, Antonio Solinas, Michele Ciusa, Emanuele Matta, Lara Serra, Alessandro Solinas, Roberto Franco, Michele Li Gioi, Desirè Alma Manca, Luca Pizzuto, Giuseppino Canu, Paola Casula, and Diego Loi."
3. "partially upholding the appeal, the nullity of the contested judgment insofar as it found a violation of Article 15, paragraph 8, of Law No. 515/1993 by Alessandra Todde."
4. «takes note of the annulment - with ruling no. 148/2025 of the Constitutional Court - of the injunction order of the Electoral Guarantee Board for the Sardinia Region of 20 December 2024 in the part in which it ascertained the existence of the conditions for removal from office and ordered the transmission of the provision to the President of the Regional Council for the
jurisdictional procedure".
5. «rejects the remainder of the appeal and, consequently, confirms the pecuniary sanction of €40,000.00 , imposed by the injunction order of the Electoral Guarantee Board for the Sardinia Region of 20 December 2024»
5. fully compensate all parties, including the lawyer Riccardo Fercia, for the costs of both levels of judgment;
6. acknowledges that the conditions exist, pursuant to art. 13, paragraph 1 quater of Presidential Decree no. 115/2002, for the payment by the lawyer Riccardo Fercia and the appellants Valter Piscedda, Antonio Solinas, Michele Ciusa, Emanuele Matta, Lara Serra, Alessandro Solinas, Roberto Franco Michele Li Gioi, Desirè Alma Manca, Luca Pizzuto, Giuseppino Canu, Paola Casula and Diego Loi, of an additional amount equal to the unified contribution due for the appeal.

In essence, the Court partially granted the President's appeal, nullifying the first-instance ruling insofar as it had characterized her conduct as "failure to submit" the report of her campaign expenses . The Court noted that the Constitutional Court had already annulled the order of the Guarantee Panel insofar as it had ordered the forfeiture.
