Thus, the Carabinieri executed five house search warrants against five minors, all between the ages of 14 and 16, in the metropolitan area of Cagliari. The order , issued as part of an investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court , concerns a group of very young people believed to be responsible, in various capacities and in concert, for the crime of stalking.
The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Assemini station, examined a series of incidents that apparently lasted about a year. According to investigators' reconstruction, the group of youths targeted vulnerable individuals, including the elderly and disabled, with threats and intimidating behavior.
The youths often traveled on bicycles and electric scooters , which they used to follow their victims, insulting them and, in some cases, even going to their homes, committing acts of vandalism such as banging on front doors, throwing objects, and damaging property. The attacks, which in some cases occurred daily, were filmed on cell phones and then shared on social media.
