Safety, traffic flow, and traffic management are at the heart of the organization of Achille Lauro's New Year's concert, scheduled for Arzachena , at the Biagio Pirina Stadium. This event, which will draw thousands of people , represents an organizational challenge but also a significant opportunity for the area, as Mayor Roberto Ragnedda explained: "An opportunity, not a problem."
In preparation for the concert, a meeting was held at the Prefecture in Sassari with the prefect, the police commissioner, and law enforcement officials to share and refine the procedures envisaged in the plan.
A large, integrated team will be operating on the ground. "In addition to the 50 stewards required by the security plan, we have our own security plan with the local police, supported by the Barracelli, the Civil Protection Department , and a series of figures present in the area to provide specific instructions."
A further meeting at the Police Headquarters will precede the concert to define the details of the activities, particularly those related to the flow of the public which, "given how we've structured the event, will certainly be, I won't say easy, but manageable," Mayor Ragnedda stated.
Between the food court, fireworks, and DJ sets, the flow of people will be spread out over time. "The concert area," Ragnedda concluded, "is also centrally located, because it leads directly onto the ring road, which allows you to go directly to Olbia, Palau, Santa Teresa, Tempio, and Sant'Antonio; it's a crossroads that is certainly convenient from a traffic perspective. Of course, we'll be there; the technicians will be present, along with all the law enforcement agencies. It will be a very complex, highly organized operation, made up of many people who, we hope, can play like an orchestra."
