The parish priest, Don Davide Cannella, announced the raid "with deep sadness," and asked for help from anyone who may have seen something and can offer assistance with the investigation.
"Unknown individuals entered with the intent to steal by breaking a glass window and then lowering themselves down," the priest explains.
The damage and inconvenience caused are varied, "but together we will find a way to fix everything. If anyone has noticed anything unusual around the parish this night or in the previous days," is the appeal, "I ask you to report it to the police."
This new year "has had a bitter beginning for us, but we trust in the Lord and entrust ourselves to him." And also to the Carabinieri, for the identification of the person responsible.
