Access to the Cagliari stadium was denied to two spectators from the Curva Sud who, during last Sunday's match against Torino, mimed the gesture of the airplane, a clear reference to the 1949 Superga tragedy involving the Grande Torino. Not even new or original behavior, already seen in other stadiums.

Cagliari Calcio, however, immediately took action. After examining the video and photographic material, the two fans filmed received a disapproval for the entire 2024/25 season from the rossoblù club. In this way, access to the stadium is denied through ticket and season ticket blocking systems.

The procedure provides that, as a precautionary measure, temporarily or permanently, the possibility of purchasing tickets registered to spectators who are the protagonists of certain behaviors is blocked. They are granted the right to respond to the dispute. The decision is based on the "Code for the regulation of the transfer of tickets for football events", in addition to and in support of the "Regulations for the use of sports facilities", which allows spectators to be further sanctioned by issuing temporary or permanent bans from the stadium, proceeding in parallel with any provisions of the public safety authority.
