The investigation into the pursuit that involved State Police officers between Cagliari and Sestu today concluded with the arrest of the driver and the referral of the minor passenger.

Investigations revealed that the driver of the car was a twenty-year-old without a license, while a minor was traveling with him. The young man was arrested under a summary procedure, while the passenger was referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.

Tense moments in the late morning between Cagliari and Sestu, where a police chase ended with the two men arrested.

According to initial reports, the Flying Squad, conducting a check in Piazza Medaglia Miracolosa , in the San Michele neighborhood, ordered a car deemed suspicious to stop. The driver, however, failed to stop, fleeing at high speed.

A chase ensued with sirens blaring for several kilometers, ending in Sestu with the assistance of the traffic police.
The two occupants of the vehicle were stopped and taken to the police station for identification procedures and the necessary investigations.

Fortunately, despite the high speed and moments of great tension, the chase did not cause consequences for motorists or pedestrians.

Further investigations are underway to clarify the reasons for the escape and the location of the two arrested.
