They couldn't agree on how to handle the drug dealing business , so the discussion escalated into a fight that required the intervention of the Carabinieri. It happened last night in Serrenti , where officers from the Samassi Station—with the support of their colleagues from Guasila and the Operations and Radiomobile Unit of the Sanluri Company— arrested a 28-year-old unemployed local man, already known to law enforcement, and reported a 48-year-old resident of the province of Milan but domiciled in Samassi. The younger man is being held responsible for the crime of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, while the younger man is being investigated for complicity in the same crime.

The Carabinieri's intervention was triggered by a call to the 112 emergency number, made by the 48-year-old, who had reported an argument taking place at the 28-year-old's home. When officers arrived, they calmed the two men, only to discover, to their surprise, that the dispute was rooted in the manner in which the drug dealing business was being managed. Having understood the context, the Carabinieri decided to conduct a personal and home search , during which they found nearly two kilograms of marijuana, 77 grams of cocaine, and €2,371 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity. All the material was seized and will be subjected to laboratory analysis by the Scientific Investigations Unit to determine its quality and doping potential.

Subsequent investigations confirmed that the drugs were traced exclusively to the 28-year-old, considered the main manager of the business, while the 48-year-old was considered to have a marginal role, which is why he was only reported. After completing the formal procedures, the young man was transferred to Uta prison, where he will be held by the judicial authorities.
