There are several suspects for the wave of burglaries in the industrial area of Olbia. There is talk of about fifteen "hits" carried out in just over a month against the owners of service areas.

The Carabinieri of the Olbia Territorial Department and the Olbia Centro Station are checking the position of some criminals. Four thefts committed in the same petrol station are being charged to a person who has already been identified: it is a young man who had been arrested by the Carabinieri precisely for the night raids in the industrial area.

The boy allegedly repeatedly targeted the Q8 service area, causing damages for tens of thousands of euros and stealing merchandise and valuables. According to the Arma's investigations, the young man allegedly committed the latest theft a few hours after being arrested and released for a previous raid.

In recent days, Confcommercio announced a request for a meeting with the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture to take stock of the situation in the Industrial Zone. The provincial president of the acronym Figisc Confcommercio Area Gallura, Stefano Schirru, declared: «The category, deeply concerned, asks the competent bodies for a greater effort in controlling the territory through an even more incisive presence of police and carabinieri. Operators in the sector have always made themselves available to collaborate with representatives of the police force to prevent these criminal events from degenerating».
