Screenings, masterclasses, conferences, and the award ceremony for competitions that discover and promote emerging talent in Italian audiovisual writing. From September 23rd to 27th, the Solinas Prize returns to La Maddalena—the most important Italian award for film and audiovisual writing since 1985.
For five days, the island will once again become a meeting point for creativity, industry, and the public, with activities involving over 150 audiovisual professionals, including authors, producers, directors, broadcasters, critics, and cultural operators.
Born in La Maddalena, the Solinas Prize is now a creative workshop active year-round . "In over four decades of history," a statement reads, "it has supported generational change, leading to the production and distribution of 189 audiovisual products, including 166 films."
The event also confirms its role as an important cultural and tourism hub for the archipelago, from informal pitches organized on board boats between finalists and producers to collaborations with high school students from the Garibaldi Institute. Finally, the focus on sustainability has been confirmed with the fourth edition of "Ciak si Pianta," the reforestation initiative to offset the event's emissions.
