The search is underway for a young man missing from Cagliari, and his family has issued an appeal.

Alert in Cagliari for the absence of Salvatore Casula, a 32-year-old man who hasn't been heard from since yesterday morning. He disappeared from Cagliari ; his phone has been turned off since midday, and his last known whereabouts are believed to be in the Monastir area near State Road 131 .

The appeal was launched on social media by family members who claim that the 32-year-old could be aboard an electric blue Maxus Deliver 9 van with the license plate GW712WE.

This afternoon , the boy's van was found in the countryside of Santa Giusta in the province of Oristano , but there is still no trace of the young man.

"Anyone who has seen him," a Facebook post reads, "has spotted the vehicle, or has any useful information about his whereabouts in the last few hours is asked to immediately contact law enforcement or call 3701050350. Any information, even seemingly insignificant, could be important."
