The sea is rising dangerously in the stretch of state road 195 “Sulcitana” between Cagliari and Capoterra .

The road, particularly the coastal section very close to the carriageway, is under special observation due to the risk of storm surges that could compromise safety. Strong winds have already knocked down branches from several trees.

Anas personnel and vehicles are monitoring the stretch of road in close coordination with the Prefecture and Civil Protection. The situation is currently under control. Traffic closures on the Cagliari-Capoterra stretch are possible, and very likely at this point, "should the waves exceed the alert level" and for "the time strictly necessary."

We are currently still in the orange alert phase, and the situation is expected to worsen after midday.
