The young man, taken by surprise, is unable to react and is immobilized and robbed of an expensive Patek Philippe Aquanaut model . The robbery ends badly for the Franco-Algerians, who are identified and arrested by the Carabinieri.

In front of the investigating judge of Tempio, Federica Distefano , the three agreed to a plea bargain and at the request of their defence lawyer, Maria Assunta Argiolas , they were released (the prosecutor was against their release).
