The mayor is accused, along with Fabrizio Porcu, in the attempted extortion trial related to the alleged pressure exerted on Enel Green Power to secure Porcu's hiring for the construction of the BESS battery storage plant in Ottana .
The trial, which was adjourned at the first hearing due to a problem with notifications to injured parties, will continue in December. The municipality of Ottana is currently under special administration.
