The Palestinian flag flies on the facade of the Regional Council
Valdo Di Nolfo, elected with “Uniti per Alessandra Todde”, hangs the flag and publishes the video: in the background a song that praises the intifadaThe Palestinian flag flies on the facade of the Regional Council of Sardinia.
The one who hoists it, attached to the window of his room, is Valdo Di Nolfo, from Alghero, elected to the Sardinian parliament on the list "Uniti per Alessandra Todde". He is the one who publishes the video in which he unwraps the flag of the Gazan people, and then shows it to anyone who passes behind the building, in the Marina district.
His symbolic action is accompanied by the notes of Flowers of Filastine, a piece born from a musical project by 'O Zulu of 99 Posse that praises the Intifada and the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli invasion: a text that is not recent, but dates back to about ten years ago. Filastin means, in fact, Palestine.
The day before, the Regional Council had approved a motion to call for a ceasefire and to propose Sardinia as the venue for a possible peace conference.
