The danger of infiltration and connections between the historic Sardinian criminal gangs of the interior of the island with mafia clans from Campania, Puglia, Calabria and, to a lesser extent, Sicily.

Then the alarm over the money laundering of gangs in coastal tourist resorts, the emergency over the continuous seizures of cocaine and the growing phenomenon of marijuana plantations, but also over the very serious episodes of bullying involving minors.

Finally , the chronic problem of the reduced staff and the vacancies of posts in the Sardinian justice system were the topics touched upon by the president of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, Gemma Cucca, and the general prosecutor Luigi Patronaggio, in their respective speeches during the ceremony of opening of the judicial year, which was held this morning in the main hall of the courthouse in Cagliari.

In front of a large audience of authorities, the leaders of the Sardinian judiciary described the state of health of the island's justice system.

«In Sardinia there have been acts of intimidation against administrators and public officials - said the Attorney General - recently the district anti-mafia directorate of Cagliari carried out a precautionary detention order against political exponents and public administrators who, in collaboration with individuals belonging to local organized crime carried out acts of intimidation against individuals deemed adversaries using the so-called mafia method. The tribunal of freedom then excluded the aggravating mafia factor, but the phenomenon remains worrying."

A reference to the danger of bullying among very young people was reported by the president of the Court of Appeal. «Constituting worrying elements - he reiterated - are the ease of resorting to violence, often implemented without reason other than the oppression of the victim, the use of seriously offensive means, the support for the perpetrator of the group to which he belongs, the sharing of the action in the world fluid of virtual relationships".

Also speaking at the ceremony for the inauguration of the judicial year were the representative of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, Eligio Paolini, the representative of the Ministry of Justice, Giuliana Palumbo, the president of the bar association Matteo Pinna, the lawyer Aldo Lucchi in representing the forensic congress body, the magistrate Andrea Vacca representing the national magistrates association, the lawyer Ivan Sanna from the honorary magistrates federation, Elisabetta Sanna from the honorary judiciary council and Maria Caterina Arba from the national forensic association.
