A 19 km long journey with deep roots in the past, a tradition that has been handed down from the older generations to the younger ones. The nocturnal pilgrimage from Sassari to Porto Torres was completed this time too.

At 3 in the morning the pilgrims entered the Basilica of San Gavino, led by Archbishop Gian Franco Saba who presided over the pilgrim's mass. A large participation for the first appointment that begins the Festha Manna, an event that anticipates the procession of the Martyrs Gavino, Proto and Gianuario scheduled for this afternoon at 7 pm from the small church of Balai Near the basilica of San Gavino.

Mass will take place on the altar set up in the Balai park at 6 pm, and at the end of the long procession of faithful, flags and costumes will leave for a long procession that will cross the seafront to bring the wooden statues back to the Basilica. "This is a day of peace," Archbishop Don Saba said in front of the academic and civil authorities, associations and individual faithful, the parish priest of the thousand-year-old church of Porto Torres. This year, young people in particular have been invited whose presence expresses the request for peace in the family, in society and in the world, with a thought above all for Ukraine.
