Another day of weather alert in Sardinia, then an anomalous African anticyclone is arriving on Italy and in the next few days it will bring heat in the central and southern regions, with temperatures that could even reach 20-21 degrees in Sardinia and Sicily.

From today, December 28 at 6 pm, strong winds from the North-West are expected, up to gale on the reliefs of the eastern sector, where local gusts up to storms are also likely. The alert lasts until midnight tomorrow.

“Maximum caution” is recommended when driving cars or motorcycles because strong side gusts tend to cause the vehicles to skid. “Particular attention should be paid to the exit of the tunnels and on the viaducts”, moreover “it is advisable to avoid the circulation with caravans and sheeted vehicles”.

Then comes the anticyclone, which will reach Italy as early as tomorrow, 29 December, after crossing the Iberian Peninsula, and will stay on our country until after the New Year.

Today should be the last day of bad weather in 2021, and it will mainly hit the South, with cold and rains.

But from Wednesday and for the following days the country will be sunny and warmed by this anticyclone of sub-tropical origin. High temperatures in the South, in the Islands and in the Center.

In the north, on the other hand, thanks to fog and overcast skies, temperatures will not exceed 7-9 degrees.
