There will be a day of mourning tomorrow, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, in Tempio Pausania on the occasion of the funeral of Gaia Costa , the 24-year-old woman hit and killed on 8 July in Porto Cervo by an SUV driven by Vivian Spohr, a German woman, the wife of the Lufthansa CEO who is under investigation for road homicide.

Today, after the autopsy , the young woman's body will be returned to her family for the funeral, which will be held tomorrow.

The mayor, as stated in the ordinance signed by Gianni Addis , "interpreting the feeling of profound sorrow and unanimous emotion of the Executive, the City Council and the entire citizenry, participates in the mourning that has struck the Costa family and the entire community for the premature passing of the very young Gaia."

To "honor the memory of an exemplary young woman, who in her short life became a shining example for the entire community and left an indelible mark on the city , whose memory will live on in our memories and will be an inspiration to us," and to "share in the grief of her family," a day of mourning has been declared throughout the city, with municipal offices closed and flags flown at half-mast on Tuesday, July 15. Commercial activities are also being suspended from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, coinciding with the funeral.

Public establishments are also advised to refrain from musical entertainment after 7:30 p.m. Flags at the town hall will be flown at half-mast throughout the day.
