The "Luigi Crespellani Award" was awarded to the regional local authorities that have distinguished themselves for organizational innovation in the management of associated functions. The first prize, of 50 thousand euros, was awarded to the Municipality of Cagliari for the urban ecology laboratory ; the second prize, of 30 thousand euros, to the Municipality of Escalaplano, for the enhancement of the attractions and tourist itineraries adjacent to the Flumendosa and the third prize, of 20 thousand euros, to the Municipality of Bonorva for the Musamadre - Rebeccu cultural festival.
"This is an award that the Regional Administration particularly cares about also because it bears the name of Luigi Crespellani, a man with a high ethical, cultural and human profile that all of Sardinia remembers for his commitment to the reconstruction of the political and administrative institutions of the island, also in his role as the first President of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia - observes the Councilor for Local Authorities, Francesco Spanedda - The aim of the Award is to support territorial communities so that they invest in innovative territorial planning and recognize its socio-economic value for the benefit of the local community ".
"The areas of intervention identified - concluded Spanedda - such as the protection and enhancement of the landscape, the sustainable development objectives of the 2030 Agenda, the promotion of solidarity and social inclusion, the promotion of the enhancement and conservation of the historical, artistic and cultural heritage, both material and immaterial, and urban regeneration - are considered priorities for the Regional Council ".
